Ladies, we invite you to a urological consultation, during which the doctor will perform an ultrasound examination including the assessment of the kidneys, urinary bladder, and in men, also the assessment of the prostate gland. The andrologist will diagnose men for infertility.

What does a consultation with a urologist look like? Do I need to prepare?

A urologist deals with the treatment of the urinary system. During the visit, an ultrasound will be performed, which will show the kidneys, ureters and urinary bladder. The latter is best visible when it is filled. For this reason, it is best to go to a urologist with a full bladder and drink 1.5 liters of water. Additionally, men will have their prostate gland, testicles and vas deferens checked.

When to go to a urologist?

Indications for a visit include any urinary system ailments – problems with urination (painful, too frequent, urinary incontinence), urinary tract infections, pain in the kidney area, erectile dysfunction.
Men trying to conceive should also see a urologist! The doctor will examine the testicles, vas deferens and seminiferous tubules, and will also recommend appropriate diagnostics and pharmacological treatment in the case of reduced semen parameters.
