“We Test Genes” Program
Nationwide Cancer Risk Assessment Program – the main goal of the program is to provide a personalized prevention plan to each participant. Thanks to modern, precise genetic testing and based on information about cancer in the family, it is possible to determine the individual risk of disease and adjust the plan of protective measures. The personalized plan may indicate the need for regular tests from the age of 25, not 50.
The collected material is subjected to detailed analysis, during which over 44 thousand mutations in the BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, CHEK2, ATM, NBN genes and other genes associated with breast, ovarian or prostate cancer, colon cancer, kidney cancer, endometrial cancer (uterus), stomach cancer, thyroid cancer, pancreatic cancer, brain tumors, adrenal tumors, neuroendocrine tumors and melanoma are assessed.
“We Test Genes” Program
The test can only be performed at the facility at ul. Podwale 83/3.
Preparation: For 1 hour before the collection, the patient cannot smoke, eat, drink (except water), brush teeth or chew gum. Before the collection itself, the patient should rinse their mouth with water.
Test: This is a double swab taken from the inside of the cheek. The patient can come and collect the material themselves or do it with the help of a midwife.
Result waiting time: 36 business days.

It is best to perform a complete blood count on an empty stomach, but in certain situations it can be taken later in the day.
Sugar curve – in the first part, the sugar level is checked; if the result is incorrect, the test may not be performed due to the patient’s well-being.
Hormonal tests in women such as progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, estradiol between the 2nd and 5th day of the cycle and/or according to other medical recommendations
Tests for first trimester ultrasound (PAPPA and free beta-HCG subunit) can be performed throughout the day – the patient does not have to be fasting.
If you have questions about other non-specific tests, it is worth contacting our midwives or the hotline first.
