Who is a midwife?
A midwife is primarily an expert in the physiology of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, and lactation, as well as women’s reproductive health at every stage of life. Her role extends far beyond the delivery room. A midwife:
- Provides antenatal education: prepares expectant parents for childbirth and parenthood by teaching relaxation techniques, breathing, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
- Cares for pregnant women: monitors their health and fetal development, provides emotional support, answers questions and allays concerns, and identifies potential abnormalities.
- Cares for women during their postpartum recovery: assesses the condition of postpartum scars (after cesarean section or natural birth), supports in scar therapy, provides education and counseling on self-care, and provides mental and emotional support.
- Provides gynecological advice: performs Pap smears, collects test samples, and educates on preventive healthcare and family planning.
- Supports in difficult times: She is a support for women who have experienced pregnancy loss, providing empathy and professional support.
Scope of services
At our Medical Center, midwives are highly knowledgeable, empathetic, and experienced. They are always ready to offer help and support, creating a safe and trusting atmosphere. Among other things, they provide:
- patient health education,
- taking blood for tests,
- taking cytology and smears,
- measuring blood pressure and weight,
- applying Holter ECG monitors,
- preparing gynecological offices,
- assisting gynecologists during procedures,
- conducting childbirth classes,
- providing lactation advice.

Blood, cytology, and smear collections can be scheduled in advance to ensure a midwife is available at a specific time.
Reservations for other collection locations are not yet available.
