Experience

Specialisation: Specialist in psychiatry, Professor of medical and health sciences.

Experience: He defended his doctoral thesis in 2015, obtained his postdoctoral degree in 2018 and the academic title of professor in 2021. He gained his professional experience working in the inpatient and day wards of the Lower Silesian Centre for Mental Health in Wrocław, the hospital in Ostrów Wielkopolski and the 4th Military Clinical Hospital with Polyclinic in Wrocław, as well as the mental health clinic. He also currently works at the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical University of Wrocław, where he is Head of the Department of Consultative Psychiatry and Neurobiological Research and is scientifically involved in the biological determinants of mental disorders. In 2019, he was appointed to the Council of Young Experts in Psychiatry at the Patient Ombudsman.

Training and research papers:  He is the author of numerous publications in the field of psychiatry. He has presented the results of his research at numerous national and international conferences.

Membership: He is a member of the European Society of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP). He is also a member of the editorial board of the journals Psychoneuroendocrinology, Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience, Revista de Psiquiatria y Salud Mental and Journal of Applied Genetics, and serves as lead editor for the journal Frontiers in Psychiatry. He has repeatedly reviewed publications for prestigious psychiatry journals such as the American Journal of Psychiatry, Lancet Psychiatry, Schizophrenia Bulletin, Schizophrenia Research, and Psychiatry Research.

Other: He was twice a recipient of the START grant from the Foundation for Polish Science, the Supertalents in Medicine plebiscite, the Science Awards from Polityka, and the ECNP and World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP) awards for young scientists.He also provides psychiatric consultations in English.
