Experience

Specialisation: Specialist in dermatology and venereology. Certification in psychodermatology.

Experience: Doctor, employed in the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology at the Piasts of Silesia Medical University in Wrocław as a research and teaching fellow, where she also pursues specialisation training in the same field. In 2022, she defended with distinction her doctoral thesis on chronic pruritus in diabetes mellitus. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants, including the prestigious Otto Braun-Falco Scholarship, for which she completed an internship at the University Hospital in Münster (Germany), where she gained experience in the treatment of pruritus and did research work. One year later, she received a Scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to continue her research work. In 2022, she won the Award of the General Board of the Polish Dermatological Society for the best scientific publication and won first place in the competition for the best clinical paper during the congress of the Young Forum of the Polish Dermatological Society.

Treatment

Main area of interest: Since the beginning of her work, she has had a special interest in the early detection of skin cancers – she performs dermatoscopic examination, videodermatoscopy and removes skin lesions. In 2023, thanks to a scholarship from the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, she received training in dermatoscopy and confocal microscopy at the Department of Dermatology in Naples with Prof. G. Argenziano (Italy), founder of the World Dermatoscopic Society and an expert in the field.

She is active in the Polish Dermatoscopy Group and is also co-organiser of the scientific conference “Dermoscopy Insights”. For years, she has also been involved in local and national campaigns for the early detection of melanoma.She obtained her diploma in psychodermatology from the European Society of Dermatology and Psychiatry (ESDaP) in 2021.

She also gained clinical experience through internships in other European centres, including the Czech Republic, Germany and Portugal.In addition to clinical dermatology, she is also interested in anti-ageing medicine. Among her favourite treatments are those using high-energy lasers.

Training and scientific works

Training and research papers: Author and co-author of more than 30 scientific papers of national and international scope (publications on pruritus, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, skin tumours, dermatoscopy, psychodermatology). He participates in national and international research projects. She regularly extends her knowledge by attending conferences and courses in dermatology, dermatoscopy and aesthetic dermatology in Poland and at congresses abroad. She also completed postgraduate studies in the design, implementation and management of clinical trials.

She belongs to scientific societies: European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, World Dermoscopic Society, Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation, European Laser and Energy Devices Society, Women Dermatological Society.

Other: Completed the Trans-Fusion Foundation’s Equal Treatment course for doctors.Privately, she enjoys crafts (especially ceramics and painting), long walks with her dog, exploring new places and learning.
